Tons and Tons of Romanian people gathered to protest against the government after the past an emergency ordinance on Jan. 31 that effectively discriminalized and allowed low corruption offenses. Many in the square on Sunday continued to call for the resignation of Prime Minister Sorin Grindeanu, as well as the presidents of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate, among the highest political offices in the country. I feel like the protests are a great way for them to come together as a union and protest about something they think is unjust. This ties into the importance of their politics because if the protests are successful, they can make a big impact on everybody's life in the long run.
